Description

The main and easily recognizable feature of the Colnago Arabesque are the special decorative lugs – two on the head tube and one on the seat tube. These were made by hand and required many hours of patient chiseling.

The first Arabesque frames were built with Columbus SL tubing from the Super Profil. It features a crimp along the top and bottom tubes. From 1985 onward, the Arabesque was constructed with a mixture of Columbus SL and Record Tubing. It features one crimp along the top tube and two crimps on each side of the bottom tube. The last version and longest-running version of the Arabesque frame was constructed with Columbus Gilco tubing, which was also used for the Master.
